Carl Icahn Fights to Save Dogs Lives
Founded by Carl Icahn, the Icahn Program for Animal Welfare (IPAW) is a philanthropic initiative dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters and animal cruelty.
IPAW Rescue is driven by Icahn’s lifelong love for dogs. In corporate activism, Carl fights for shareholders being underserved by bloated systems. In animal welfare he fights for the innocent dogs suffering while large organizations accumulate enormous endowments, overspend on salaries and overhead and ultimately the dogs suffer and die because the system failed them.
The philosophy behind IPAW Rescue is to select network partners in animal welfare operations with strong leadership, proven execution and financial responsibility that meet Mr Icahns principles. IPAW provides the funding support to the network partners eliminating any overhead allowing for every dollar to go immediately and directly to the dogs.
IPAW's network consists of robust transport programs to relocate dogs from areas where they have no pathway out. Spay and neuter to address prevention and shelter support for the care that is needed until the dogs are adopted into their forever homes.
