The program is driven by Icahn’s lifelong love for animals and will leverage his decades of activism and expertise to hold organizations accountable and drive life-saving changes in animal welfare practices.
IPAW prioritizes helping dogs in high-kill shelters across the country through programs that will have immediate, life-saving outcomes. It enhances the rescue efforts of its partners—nonprofit organizations—through financial and logistical support. IPAW selects partners with robust transport programs to relocate dogs from areas where they have no pathway out to organizations that can provide the care they need until they are adopted into their forever homes.
